BTS members Jimin and Jung Kook are teaming up for an exciting new travel reality show titled Are You Sure?! set to premiere exclusively on Disney+.
The eight-part series, filmed in 2023 prior to their enlistment in the South Korean military, showcases the duo’s adventures across three iconic global destinations: New York state, USA; Jeju Island, South Korea; and Sapporo, Japan. According to a press release, Are You Sure?! will take viewers on a journey filled with fun and exploration as Jimin and Jung Kook eat, shop, cook, camp, canoe, swim, and road trip together. The series promises to offer a deeper insight into the pair’s undeniable chemistry and endearing friendship as they bond over a variety of unforgettable moments, immerse themselves in different cultures, and try out local cuisines.
The announcement of the series follows a cryptic teaser posted on social media, featuring a slideshow of photos showing the two band members enjoying outdoor adventures together. Jung Kook previously hinted at the show during a November episode of Suchwita, the YouTube talk show hosted by BTS’ Suga. In the episode, Jung Kook revealed that he and Jimin had discussed the idea of filming their travels together. “On a shoot with Jimin ages ago, he said it might be fun to do a travel variety show with me, and I agreed,” Jung Kook shared. “But it didn’t end up going anywhere after that. Then suddenly, they set up a shoot.”
Are You Sure?! will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting August 8, with new episodes released every Thursday through September 19.
