Sabrina Carpenter Scores First No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 Chart with “Please Please Please”.

Billboard announced on Monday that the song had overtaken Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help,” giving Carpenter her first No. 1 song. “Please Please Please,” released on June 6, debuted at No. 2 on the chart last week.

Additionally, Carpenter’s viral hit “Espresso,” which peaked at No. 3, remains in the top 10, currently at No. 4. The music video for “Please Please Please” features Carpenter and her rumored boyfriend, Oscar-nominated actor Barry Keoghan. Directed by Bardia Zeinali, the video shows Keoghan repeatedly being arrested for various incidents, with Carpenter collecting him from jail each time.

Carpenter’s sixth album, Short n’ Sweet, is set to release on August 23, with “Please Please Please” as the second single following “Espresso.” She also announced the “Short n’ Sweet Tour,” starting this fall in Columbus, Ohio, and concluding at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on November 15. Presale tickets begin on Tuesday, with general sales starting on Friday.
