Sabrina Carpenter Surprises Spice Girls‘ Emma Bunton with Onstage ‘Arrest’ During London Concert
Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter turned her latest tour stop into a memorable moment for fans when she “arrested” none other than Spice Girls icon Emma Bunton during her performance at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday, March 8.
Carpenter, 25, who’s known for her playful stage antics, brought Bunton, 49, into the spotlight in front of a packed crowd.
“You’re kind of spicing up my life a little bit… Oh my God, wow. Like really spicing up my life,” Carpenter gushed, visibly starstruck. “My clothes are falling off. I’m naked, I’m naked!” she joked as Bunton excitedly waved at the camera, according to fan-captured footage.
The “Espresso” hitmaker then playfully presented Bunton with a pair of pink fuzzy handcuffs. “They match your top!” Carpenter quipped as she asked the iconic Spice Girl to “do her the honors of being mine forever.”
Clearly enjoying the playful moment, Bunton later shared her excitement on Instagram, posting a video montage of the lighthearted “arrest.”
“Please, please, please arrest me for being a fan!!! @sabrinacarpenter you were amazing!” Bunton captioned the post, which featured clips from Carpenter’s performance and the special onstage moment. The video ended with Bunton flashing a peace sign while proudly displaying her newly acquired pink handcuffs.
This isn’t the first time Carpenter has pulled off one of her famous “arrests.” In October 2024, she jokingly took Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown into “custody” at her Atlanta tour stop after the actress slid into her DMs.
A month later, Carpenter staged an “arrest” with music producer Jack Antonoff before swapping him out for his wife, actress Margaret Qualley. She also roped in Saturday Night Live star Marcello Hernández’s character, Domingo, during her Los Angeles show that same month.
The playful tradition began last year when Carpenter started “arresting” audience members before performing her track “Juno” as part of her Short n’ Sweet tour — a trend that continues to delight fans and celebrities alike.
