Ryan Reynolds traveled to Spain to watch his friend Taylor Swift perform in Madrid.
PEOPLE confirmed that on Thursday, May 30, the 47-year-old Deadpool star joined his wife Blake Lively in the crowd at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to watch the Grammy winner, 34, perform her Eras Tour for the second night in Madrid.
The couple was seen together, with Reynolds dancing and Lively running around barefoot, an audience member told PEOPLE. The previous night, Lively, 36, attended Swift’s first Madrid show with their children, enjoying the performance from the floor and dancing along to “Shake It Off.”
Swift’s other celebrity friends, including Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, were also spotted in the crowd.
Reynolds had previously mentioned his plans to attend Swift’s concert in Madrid during an appearance on Today with Hoda and Jenna earlier this month. He shared that this would be his first time seeing the international tour, having been busy with work for the past year and a half. “I’m getting help, I got help. Intervention is the word they’re using,” he joked.
He also revealed that his children had already attended “five or six” Eras Tour shows and were “obsessed” with Swift’s performances.
Reynolds and Lively share four children: James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a fourth baby whose name has not been revealed.
During the May 29 show, Swift gave a special shout-out to the couple’s three daughters while playing her guitar on stage. She mentioned that some of her favorite characters on her album Folklore are named James, Inez, and Betty, referring to the song “Betty” which includes their names.
Reynolds has said that he and Lively kept their girls’ names in “Betty” a secret until the track was finished. In an August 2021 SiriusXM Town Hall interview, he explained, “We surprised them with it. They didn’t know. They had no idea.”
