Tom Brady shared a reflective message on love just a day after his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Joaquim Valente.
On February 6, the 47-year-old NFL legend took to Instagram Stories, posting a quote about the “secret to being loved.” The quote read: “I really think the secret to being loved is to love. And the secret to being interesting is to be interested. And the secret to have others find beauty in you is to find beauty in others. And the secret to having a friend is being a friend.” Brady added, “ Love this.”
The post came just a day after news broke that Gisele, 44, and Joaquim, 37, welcomed a baby boy. A source revealed to PEOPLE that although his first name remains unknown, his middle name is River, continuing the water-themed tradition for her children’s middle names. Gisele shares daughter Vivian Lake, 12, and son Benjamin Rein, 15, with Brady, and her eldest son, John “Jack” Edward Thomas, 17, comes from her relationship with ex, Bridget Moynahan.
Earlier in the day, sources shared that Gisele was doing “great” and “thriving,” with Joaquim excited about the birth. The couple had planned for a home birth.
Brady and Bündchen finalized their divorce in October 2022, agreeing on joint custody of their children. Despite their separation, Brady and Bündchen appear to have found new chapters in their lives. Gisele and Joaquim started dating in June 2023, and their pregnancy news was confirmed in October 2024.
In February 2024, Brady shared a poignant photo of a sunset along with The Chicks’ cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide,” signaling a time of reflection on his journey.
