Eric Stonestreet Jokes About His Clown Persona In Chappell Roan’S Grammy Show

Eric Stonestreet is adding some humor to Chappell Roan’s recent Grammy performance.

After Roan delivered an electrifying rendition of “Pink Pony Club” at the 2025 Grammys, Stonestreet, known for his role as Cameron Tucker on Modern Family, made a playful comment about the background dancers in her show. The dancers, who resembled his clown character, Fizbo, sparked the joke.

Stonestreet shared a post on Instagram with a photo of himself dressed as Fizbo. “Lotta people asking. Yes, Fizbo WAS in @chappellroan’s Grammy performance of ‘Pink Pony Club,'” he wrote. “I was in the way, way, way, way back. Off the stage. At home. In my chair.”

He continued jokingly, “But the makeup was most definitely on point and Fizbo approved! #Farmbo.”

Chappell Roan’s Grammy debut on February 2 was a standout moment. She performed “Pink Pony Club,” wearing a 22-year-old couture dress while embodying the spirit of a rodeo queen. She was joined by an energetic crew of dancing clowns who helped bring the performance to life.

Kam Saunders, a dancer from The Eras Tour, was one of the clowns featured in the performance. On Instagram, Saunders confirmed his participation with a selfie, joking, “Yes.. that was me in Pink Pony Club. Took that makeup off IMMEDIATELY to save my skin.”

Later that evening, Roan took home the Grammy for Best New Artist. In her acceptance speech, she used the opportunity to advocate for affordable healthcare for emerging artists. Roan, who had been signed to a label as a minor, shared her personal struggles with finding employment after being dropped from her label.

“If I ever won a Grammy, I would demand that labels offer a livable wage and healthcare, especially to developing artists,” Roan said, highlighting the challenges many artists face in the industry. She went on to discuss how difficult it was for her to find a job during the pandemic and how the lack of health insurance had affected her.

Roan, who has been vocal about mental health issues, also shared how disappointing it felt to be dedicated to her art but let down by the system.

“Labels, we got you, but do you got us?” she concluded.
