Months have passed since the public last saw the Princess of Wales or witnessed her undertaking any official royal engagements. However, recent reports from multiple outlets indicate that Princess Kate was spotted spending time with her family.
Sources from People and Us Weekly disclosed that the royal was recently seen with her family, including her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. While no photographs or videos of this sighting have emerged yet, these reports mark Kate’s first public appearance since she revealed her cancer diagnosis in March.
Kate’s previous public appearance was in mid-March when she and Prince William were captured leaving a farm shop near their Windsor residence. Her last official royal engagement took place in December during the traditional walk to the Christmas morning service on the Sandringham estate alongside the royal family.
In January, the princess postponed further public engagements due to an unspecified abdominal surgery. Initially scheduled for a three-month recovery period, Kate’s unexpected cancer diagnosis extended her absence from public duties beyond that timeframe.
She shared the shocking health news in a personal video message released on March 22, expressing her and William’s efforts to manage the situation privately for the sake of their young family. Kate mentioned her recovery from major surgery and starting her treatment, emphasizing her focus on healing mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Although the type and stage of cancer haven’t been officially disclosed, Kate revealed undergoing preventative chemotherapy. While there have been no official updates on her health since the video announcement, William mentioned recently that she is “doing well.”
A palace insider informed Bazaar in March that Kate will resume official duties upon clearance from her medical team. Despite the challenges, she remains in good spirits and is determined to achieve a full recovery.
