Zach Bryan has had enough of the online hate targeting his friends, and he’s making his feelings clear.
In a passionate Instagram Stories rant posted on January 9, the 28-year-old country star didn’t hold back in confronting trolls who had been attacking his inner circle. The criticism, based on unfounded assumptions about his romantic life, hit a nerve with Bryan. “Also all you f–in couch warriors attacking and belittling my friends on the internet because you’re assuming I have a girlfriend are weird as hell and should be studied for science,” Bryan wrote, expressing frustration over the harassment.
He continued, saying, “Everyone wonders why I quit touring and don’t want to be attached to music anymore meanwhile you’re calling my friends ugly and harassing them?” Bryan went on to clear the air about his love life, denying rumors of a girlfriend and insisting, “I don’t have a girlfriend and I don’t plan on it. I have normal friends I love very much.”
Bryan’s anger reached a peak as he urged the trolls to redirect their attention to more pressing matters: “Go give your attention and time to the literal city burning down and stop being so sad and fickle and childish through screens.”
Despite the vitriol, Bryan made it clear he’s no stranger to hate, but the attacks on his friends crossed a line. “No matter how bad of a person you think I am, go ahead and come for me. I can take all the hatred because I’m not a child. But do not come for my friends who do nothing but love and care for me,” he wrote.
The singer went on to share his growing disillusionment with fame, explaining how the constant harassment is taking a toll: “Every day I get closer to never being in the public eye again.”
Bryan wrapped up his rant with a powerful message: “I’ve said what I need to say. My chest is still out and heads are still held high. Hopping off here for a bit seeeee ya.”
Earlier, Bryan’s ex, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, revealed details about their breakup in a candid interview, claiming Bryan had been unfaithful during their year-long relationship. Bryan, however, has kept his response focused on the personal attacks against his friends.
