Travis Scott is once again spreading the holiday spirit in his hometown of Houston! The Grammy-nominated rapper, 33, teamed up with his Cactus Jack Foundation to host the fifth annual Winter Wonderland Park toy and food drive, taking place on Saturday, December 21. The event became a heartwarming tradition that saw thousands of gifts and bags of food donated to local families in need.
This year’s toy drive wasn’t just a charitable affair for Scott; it was a true family event. The “Sicko Mode” rapper, who has built a reputation for his philanthropy, invited his close-knit family to join him in giving back to the community. Among the attendees were his parents, siblings, and, of course, his 6½-year-old daughter Stormi, whom he shares with ex Kylie Jenner.
The father-daughter duo was an adorable sight as they personally distributed gifts to children in the Houston area. Together, they handed out more than 2,000 toys, bikes, and even 200 pairs of the exclusive Nike Cactus Jack sneakers, all generously donated by Scott’s foundation in partnership with local organizations. From dolls to Houston Astros gear, the event offered a little something for every child, including 1,000 bags of food, ensuring families had a joyful holiday season.
The event was held at Texas Southern University, a historically Black university in Houston, adding another layer of significance to the occasion. Scott’s family has deep roots in HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) culture. His father, Jacques Webster, as well as other family members, attended institutions like Prairie View A&M University and Howard University, making the venue a fitting backdrop for the annual event. This connection to HBCUs also shaped the atmosphere of the toy drive, which included more than just charitable donations—there was a sense of legacy and pride in the air.
In a special addition this year, the Waymon Webster Scholarship Program was introduced at the Winter Wonderland event. Named after Scott’s grandfather, the program has been a beacon of hope for students attending HBCUs. Since its inception in 2019, the scholarship has awarded over $1 million to more than 100 graduating seniors. At the event, students had the chance to learn more about the program and how to apply for financial aid, marking a significant moment of empowerment for the community.
Throughout the day, celebrity guests also made an appearance to join the festivities. Rapper Don Toliver and Love Island USA star Serena Page added to the fun, while Santa Claus himself made a special cameo, delighting kids and families alike.
While Travis Scott is known for his music and larger-than-life performances, his Cactus Jack Foundation was created to give back to the community by providing access to education and creative resources for youth. Launched in 2020, the foundation aims to foster positive change, and its efforts extend beyond holiday charity. The organization has worked to provide scholarships, mentorship, and access to creative spaces that help nurture the next generation of leaders.
In addition to his philanthropic work with the Cactus Jack Foundation, Scott also leads Project H.E.A.L., an initiative born in response to the tragic 2021 Astroworld Festival incident, where 10 people lost their lives. The initiative aims to address various social challenges, focusing on mental health, event safety, and educational support for youth. Through these two initiatives, Scott is making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people across the country, and this holiday event was just another example of his commitment to bettering the community.
As the event wrapped up, Travis Scott was seen spending quality time with his daughter Stormi, making sure that their involvement in the holiday cheer was a personal experience as much as it was a public one. With a heart full of gratitude and a spirit of giving, Travis Scott continues to use his platform to create real, lasting change for the youth in his hometown and beyond.
This Winter Wonderland drive serves as a reminder that no matter how much fame or success one attains, it’s the impact on others that leaves the most lasting legacy. For Travis Scott, family, community, and giving back will always be at the heart of the holiday season.
