Justin Timberlake has announced the cancellation of yet another concert date on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, this time affecting his scheduled performance in Oklahoma City on December 2. The 43-year-old singer took to Instagram Stories on Saturday, November 30, to inform fans of the unfortunate news, attributing the cancellation to a back injury he sustained recently while performing in New Orleans.
“I’m so sorry Oklahoma City,” Timberlake wrote in his heartfelt message. “I have to cancel the show on 12/2. I hurt my back in Nola and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little bit longer. Thank you for your support — y’all know I hate doing this.”
Timberlake’s last performance took place in New Orleans on November 25, where it appears the injury occurred. This cancellation marks the third time in recent weeks that the “Selfish” singer has been forced to adjust his tour schedule due to health issues.
Earlier this fall, Timberlake revealed in an October 22 Instagram post that he had been struggling with bronchitis and laryngitis, which led him to reschedule several shows from October 23 through November 2. “I’m so sorry to say I do need to reschedule the next few shows,” he wrote, expressing his disappointment and gratitude for fans’ understanding. “Thank you for understanding – I’ll make it up to you .”
The former NSYNC member had also previously postponed his October 8 show in New Jersey due to an undisclosed injury, stating, “I’m so sorry to postpone tonight’s show. I have an injury that is preventing me from performing. I’m so disappointed to not see you all – but I’m working to reschedule ASAP.” He reassured fans that he would make it up to them, adding a broken heart emoji for emphasis.
The Forget Tomorrow World Tour was first announced in January and marked Timberlake’s return to live performances after a five-year hiatus. The tour features an impressive two-hour show with a 29-song setlist that highlights tracks from his sixth studio album, *Everything I Thought It Was*. Fans can expect to hear beloved hits such as “My Love,” “Cry Me a River,” “Suit & Tie,” and “Rock Your Body.”
Despite these setbacks, Timberlake’s tour is set to continue with nine more U.S. stops in 2024, followed by international dates extending into July 2025. The excitement surrounding the tour remains high as fans eagerly anticipate Timberlake’s return to the stage.
Timberlake’s health concerns have raised eyebrows among fans and industry insiders alike, prompting conversations about the physical demands placed on performers during extensive tours. As he navigates these challenges, fans are rallying around him, sending messages of support and encouragement as he prioritizes his recovery.
In an age where mental and physical health are increasingly recognized as vital components of an artist’s career longevity, Timberlake’s situation serves as a reminder of the importance of taking care of oneself amidst the pressures of fame and performance schedules.
As Timberlake continues his journey through recovery, fans remain hopeful for his swift return to full health and are excited for what lies ahead on the *Forget Tomorrow World Tour*. With each cancellation comes renewed anticipation for future performances, where Timberlake can once again share his music and passion with audiences around the world.
