Garth Brooks is gearing up for a heartwarming holiday season alongside his wife, Trisha Yearwood. During his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on November 26, the country music legend shared insights into their Thanksgiving plans, revealing a unique tradition they call a “misfit Thanksgiving.” This year, they are expecting around 20 to 25 guests at their home, many of whom are industry professionals away from their families.
Brooks explained that Yearwood, an exceptional cook, opens their doors to those who might otherwise spend the holiday alone. “I don’t want to get in the way of perfection,” he joked, adding that his role will mainly involve cleanup duties. He also highlighted Yearwood’s creative approach to leftovers, where she combines them into a single casserole topped with biscuits—a delightful way to minimize waste and maximize flavor.
As the couple prepares for Thanksgiving, Brooks mentioned that Christmas festivities have already begun in their household due to his ongoing residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. “Mrs. Yearwood declared Christmas started three weeks ago,” he shared, noting that the Christmas tree is already up and adorned with meaningful ornaments. Brooks expressed his emotional connection to the holiday, stating that each ornament holds special significance, particularly those representing his daughters.
In a heartfelt moment during the interview, Brooks reflected on the importance of Christmas as a time for love and togetherness. “It’s time to love one another and drop all this silly stuff,” he said, visibly moved.
These festive revelations come amid ongoing legal challenges for Brooks, who recently filed to transfer his case against an accuser known as “Jane Roe” to a higher court. He has denied the allegations, labeling them as an attempt at extortion.
As Garth and Trisha prepare for a joyful holiday season filled with love and laughter, fans can look forward to more updates from this beloved couple.
